The Keys to a Home That Feels Like Heaven

When I first moved to the small, quaint, lakeside town nestled in the San Bernardino mountains, it wasn’t out of choice but necessity. A friend had offered me their cabin to live in—free of charge—for as long as I needed. I hadn’t seen it before arriving, but desperate times called for bold decisions.

I arrived with my cat, my dog, and my few possessions, only to find a run-down, dilapidated shack in desperate need of repair. Still, I was grateful for the shelter. In my mind, I justified the state of disrepair, convincing myself it was enough for the moment.

A home is one of the most intimate expressions of how we live, laugh, and find tranquility. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that this shack was not a representation of those ideals. I had arrived in a state of desperation, confusion, and fear. While I had manifested a roof over my head, I could feel that this cabin wasn’t meant to be my sanctuary—it was merely a stepping stone. It felt like the first stitch in what would soon become a beautiful tapestry of dreams.

Every day, I would take my dog for long walks through the quiet streets of that little mountain community. Tall pine trees, the chirping of squirrels, and the gentle ripple of water on the lake brought me peace. Certain cabins caught my eye as I wandered. One, in particular, stood out—a gorgeous house with stunning landscaping. I used to pause and imagine living there, envisioning what it might feel like to call it home. I’d picture the warmth and charm of the interiors and the life I’d create within its walls.

And guess what? I now live there.

This journey taught me something profound: your home is a reflection of you. It’s not just a place to live, but a space to laugh, create, and find serenity. But what if your home feels like anything but that?

What if your home is a source of stress, frustration, or even dread? What if, at the end of the day, the last thing you want is to go home? If that resonates with you, know that your home—just like everything else in your life—is a mirror. It reflects the mindset and state of being you are currently embodying.

The shack I initially found myself in was like a shoe that no longer fit. It served a purpose for a time, but as I grew, my too-big-ness demanded something better. And Life delivered.

So, ask yourself:

  • Do you feel safe with Life?

  • Do you trust it to anticipate your every need, like the most competent assistant?

  • Do you believe Life is always working in your favor?

If your answer is anything less than a resounding yes, let today be the day you transform that narrative.

Take a deep breath. Your dream Life is already unfolding, and it will arrive right on time. You don’t need to force, fix, or figure it out. Life has always had your back—you just need to trust.

I didn’t manifest my dream home through effort or strategy. I simply allowed myself to believe that Life would provide, and it did. The same is true for you. You are safe to trust, to be happy, and to let go of the belief that something is wrong or needs fixing. Life loves you and is excited to see you step into your fullness.

Here’s a little exercise for you:

Close your eyes and imagine the version of yourself already living in your dream life. Picture them in your dream home, smiling, thriving, and free. This version of you knows their worth and never lets outside circumstances dictate their joy. Now, take their hand and let them lead you into becoming one with them.

Today, you leave behind what no longer serves you and step boldly into your new life. Imagine driving your dream car toward a life of joy, ease, and abundance, feeling lighter with every mile. You are safe to trust Life, safe to feel alive, and safe to embrace the extraordinary.

This transformation marks a new chapter—one filled with laughter, love, and serenity.

Congratulations!
