Cerebral Ripening

Yesterday, I was having lunch with some friends, and the conversation drifted into the usual community gossip and mindless chatter. It left me feeling stagnant, like a pond with no flow.

Later, when I got home, I thought I’d unwind with a movie before bed. But after about five minutes of scrolling through the options, I found nothing but uninspired selections—juvenile nonsense, tiresome dramas, and just plain dull content.

In that moment, I craved intellectual stimulation like a junkie craves their next fix. I couldn’t handle any more of this adolescent-level content. It felt as if my soul was withering under the weight of all the pointless and uninspiring noise being pushed on me by the news, social media, and every other outlet. Even my “spiritual” community seemed stuck, lacking the growth and expansion I yearned for.

Growth is who we are. It is where our omniscience thrives.

Growth isn’t about get “old” and feeble. That is actually a complete misunderstanding and misdirection of the brilliant gift of combining time with the infinite. Time to outgrow such misconceptions.

In a YouTube podcast episode I did on death and near-death experiences (Not So Dearly Departed), the host mentioned that our physical bodies eventually expire. I responded, “No, they don’t. Has your physical body ever expired? Do you have any memory of your physical body dying? And if our physical bodies don’t die—now what?” (Link: Not So Dearly Departed Podcast)

During that interview, I felt my true Godself fully expressed. The conversation transcended traditional beliefs about death, souls, and the invisible. It’s that “Now what?” that I want to explore further. Who are we if the physical manifestations of withering and dying are off the table, and if aging is merely a process of cerebral ripening?

Indeed, now what?

When we grow, we outgrow. To outgrow death and the belief in the invisible is to move beyond the yearning for days gone by. It’s a maturity that understands there is no end to our Being, and thus no need to cling to who we were yesterday. Instead, we are invited to eagerly embrace the expansive evolution of a version of ourselves that cannot be constrained by “human” limitations.

If your world feels stagnant and confining, it’s a clear sign that a “cerebral growth” or outgrowing is being offered. And all you need to do is respond with, “Absolutely!”

You are God. It’s time to take that seriously.

(More cerebral ripening is on the way.)
